After Live Presentation- Evaluation: Creating Clarity, Focus, and Reasonable Expectations at the Outset of Treatment and Beyond | CAMFT
During this 3-hour Law and Ethics presentation CAMFT Staff Attorney, Sara Jasper, will describe key issues to address at the outset of treatment with a particular emphasis on the importance of identifying the patient unit of treatment and setting up reasonable expectations within the patient unit. Ms. Jasper will talk about how this can be achieved through a discussion of patient goals, clarification of professional boundaries and competencies as well as key policies and procedures. Ms. Jasper will cover the No Surprises Act and how to discuss Medicare with patients now that LMFTs (and LPCCs) are Medicare eligible. Finally, Ms. Jasper to discuss additional issues to consider when treating patients with disabilities.
