The Art of Online Counseling: Grow an Online Business and Create Connected Client Relationships That Bridge the Digital Gap

Present by Suzanne Hughes, LMFT - 2 CE Hours

Workshop Description:
Video therapy allows therapists to work remotely, serve populations that were previously difficult to reach and decrease commute time for the therapist and client alike. This seminar examines the research related to the use of video-therapy, its ethical and legal implications, and provides a practical “how-to” guide. Using outcome-based studies, personal experience, and a live demonstration, the speaker will provide the tools to understand and examine the research in order to incorporate it into your practice. New ethical developments will also be explored.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this online workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Cite three HIPPA-compliant video/counseling sites.
2. Identify three telemedicine ethical and legal issues.
3. Identify three telemedicine barriers and limitations.
4. Name two Teletherapy evidence-based studies.
