Lifestyle Factors That Impact Brain Health and Well-Being

Presented by Gary Small, MD - 2 CE Hours

Workshop Description:
Although genetic factors contribute to brain health associated with aging, for the average individual non-genetic factors play a more important role. In this presentation, I will review the scientific evidence showing that mental and physical exercise, stress management and nutrition can reduce the risk for cognitive decline. I will also demonstrate how memory methods can compensate for age-related memory loss.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1Recognize physical and mental exercise, nutrition, and stress management protects brain health as people age;
2. List practical strategies for compensating for memory loss and methods for improving brain health.
