Afternoon In-Person: Law & Ethics--What's NEW in 2022?

Description

CAMFT Course Page

Course Description:
As if the end of the year did not present enough opportunities for stress, California psychotherapists will have to become familiar with multiple new laws impacting their professions before the confetti drops at midnight on New Year’s Day. If you would rather spend time with family over the holidays than devote countless hours to legal research, CAMFT has you covered!

This IN-PERSON, two-hour workshop will break down multiple new laws impacting California psychotherapists that will take effect in 2022. These laws introduce significant changes to numerous subjects including mandated reporting, emotional support dog documentation, managed care, and communication between licensees and the BBS. The workshop will also provide brief overviews of CAMFT’s scope of practice bill, which was recently signed into law by Governor Newsom, new regulations for MFTs serving as supervisors, and recently enacted laws you may have missed.
