Julie Hayden, Psy.D
Dr. Julie Hayden, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist, the Executive Director of Rhombus Counseling, the Clinical Director at Genesis Recovery, and the CAO of Rhombus University. In her role as the Co-Chair of the MFT Consortium of San Diego & Imperial Valley, she has collaborated for many years with schools and agencies to increase quality MFTs available for the underserved populations of California. Dr. Hayden is the San Diego representative for the California MFT Collaborative, influencing and guiding the future of MFT education and workforce in California. Dr. Hayden owns and operates multiple counseling agencies in San Diego, El Centro, and Orange County. She has fifteen years clinical experience working with chronic mental illness, substance and sexual addictions, adolescents, families, PTSD, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, and more. She has taught at Universities with MFT programs including, National University and Pt. Loma Nazarene and was the Dean of Southern California Seminary’s School of Behavioral Sciences where she developed a MFT program in the Korean language to strategically reach the Korean community with mental health treatment. She now serves as the Chief Academic Officer at Rhombus University, training MFT students and is pioneering online options for education and therapy to reach underserved communities with quality marriage and family therapy. She brings a personal perspective remembering her early years, a perspective as a supervisor guiding pre-licensed MFTs, a perspective as a boss hiring associates and MFTs, and the mindset of a leader influencing others and teaching people how to be leaders and influencers in their communities.
