CAMFT Staff Attorney, Anastasia Johnson and former CAMFT
Insurance and Healthcare Reform Committee member, Karen Ziccardi collaborated
on producing this short video tutorial on how to bill insurance companies
electronically. This short video provides a general overview on billing
insurance electronically in an outpatient setting, and includes
information on what you need to
get started, how to fill out the CMS 1500 billing form, how to submit a claim
online, and how to collect the payment.

Anastasia Johnson is a former Staff Attorney at CAMFT. She received her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. Her professional interests focus on family and health care law and her current projects include contributing articles to the Therapist Magazine.
