As marriage and family therapists, we do our best to support clients to have healthy and fulfilling relationships. Typically, we focus our efforts on helping couples and families stay together. Yet with over 40% of first marriages, 60% of second, and 70% of third ending in divorce, we must learn to help post-divorce families transition to a healthy new form of family, as well as deepen our efforts to help people form a healthy new sense of self in the aftermath of lost love.
