Description
This presentation will provide participants with a framework for both assessing their own readiness to re-enter the social sphere and to utilize as a psychotherapeutic tool with clients. We will discuss the essential components to consider when planning for a successful re-entry into the world of work, friendship, and community activities, including key psychological barriers, underlying patterns, and manageable strategies. We will also have time to address participants' specific questions about the re-entry process.
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the three Zones of Comfort
2. Identify the difference between the Zone of Comfort for work, social, and community settings
3. Develop one scaffolding activity for themselves
4. Plan one coping strategy for a social situation in their stretch or panic zone
