Contributors Nabil El-Ghoroury, Ph.D., CAE, CAMFT Executive Director Nabil El-Ghoroury began as Executive Director of CAMFT in January 2018. He completed his doctorate in clinical psychology from Binghamton University, and practiced for 7 years at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland as a licensed psychologist. Prior to coming to CAMFT, he was an Associate Executive Director for the American Psychological Association, where he served as the director of the graduate student office. Nabil was recognized as an emerging association leader by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) when he was invited into the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (2016-2018 class). He has presented at numerous conferences (in English and in Spanish) on issues such as student development in psychology, professional and legal issues in the use of social media, and health/educational disparities in autism spectrum disorders. Nabil led student delegations on Capitol Hill for 8 years. He recently earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, a certification that demonstrates wide knowledge of association management skills. Robin Andersen, LMFT Robin Andersen, LMFT is CAMFT's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to being elected as CFO, she joined CAMFT's Board of Directors as a Clinical Director-at-Large. Robin previously served as the President of the San Diego North County Chapter of CAMFT (SDNC-CAMFT). Under her leadership, SDNC-CAMFT received the Chapter Excellence Award for Best Financial Management in 2019, and Robin received the Outstanding Chapter Leader Award in 2019. She is actively involved with CAMFT's Chapter Advisory Committee, Educational Foundation, Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Pre-Licensed Committee, and Social Policy Task Force. Robin is the Founder of Prelicensed (Prelicensed.com), a free resource for associate marriage and family therapists, trainees, and students in California. She is also the Business Development Manager for TrackYourHours (TrackYourHours.com) and TrackYourCEUs (TrackYourCEUs.com). Robin supports clients on a part-time basis and is especially passionate about working with teens, young adults, self-identified “nerds” of any kind, and individuals who are entrepreneurs, self-employed, and/or business owners. For the past 9 years, Steve has worked for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as their assistant executive officer. During his tenure with the board he has been responsible for the day to day operations of the board and has been instrumental in implementing board policies such as the examination restructure and the transition to an online service platform.
