You can earn your six (6) CE hours of Law and Ethics needed for license renewal by reading six (6) articles in The Therapist that are about legal and ethical issues and passing the test. Once you have read the articles, you will take the test. 

You must get at least 70% of your answers correct in order to earn the two credits ("Passing Score").  If you achieve the Passing Score, you will be able to move to the next step and complete the Evaluation.

Upon completion of the Evaluation, you will be able to print a CE Certificate for your records.

Please Note: Continuing education credits will only be awarded for The Therapist self-study tests that are taken and submitted to CAMFT within one year and one issue of the magazine/test's publication date. For example, a test printed in the January / February 2017 of The Therapist magazine cannot be submitted for continuing education credit in July of 2018 because the test appeared in a magazine that was published more than one year and one issue ago.

CAMFT is approved for CE hours by: CAMFT is recognized as a CE Provider by the Board of Behavioral Sciences for LMFTs, LEPs, LPCCs, and LCSWs (16 C.C.R. §1887.4.3(3)(D)); Provider Approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider# CEP 4046) for number of contact hours and the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP-EI Provider #1S-95-319-1023). Pre-licensed members and associates may earn hours of experience for attending CAMFT workshops as approved by their supervisors.
